The intake valve cover gasket is a vital component that ensures the proper sealing of the intake valve cover, preventing oil leaks and maintaining the integrity of the engine's intake system. This gasket is essential for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the engine, contributing to optimal engine performance and longevity.
- Another advantage of the a7tc spark plug is its construction. Made with high-quality materials and precision engineering, this spark plug is built to withstand the intense heat and pressure inside the engine. This durability helps to extend the lifespan of the spark plug, saving you time and money on replacements.

WHICH MATERIALS MAKE UP SEALS?
Shaft Speed - Considering the speed that the shaft will be moving, the runout, the housing bore and the type of oil being sealed is vital to making sure you select an oil seal that will not suffer from abrasions or spiralling.
Main lip The main lip is the most critical component of the seal.

Standard springs are made of carbon steel. We use stainless-steel springs for our GR and GRST oil seals made from FKM rubber. In some rare cases, an O-ring is even used as a spring element. Standard PTFE lip seals are not fitted with springs.
Pressure - Many oil seals can only withstand low-pressure applications, so understanding the compression set of your components is key.
Maintenance and Replacement of Oil Seals
Despite being incredibly flexible, silicone has some significant drawbacks. The toughness, resistance to wear, and abrasion of many silicone compounds are poor. If you seriously need an oil seal material with better strength and resistance to high temperature, the perfect option is Viton.
NBR is recommended for the majority of standard applications and is the most commonly used rubber (elastomer) material. This is because of Nitrile's compatibility with most environments as well as its relatively low cost. Generally nitrile is used for disposable non-latex gloves, footwear, automotive transmission belts, synthetic leather, hoses, o-rings, gaskets, oil seals, and more.
It is important to regularly inspect and replace worn-out piston oil seals to ensure the proper functioning of the engine. This can help to prevent costly repairs and extend the life of the engine.
